Infrastructure Branding: High-Traffic Solar Visibility
Location: Cobham Services, M25 (UK’s Busiest Service Station)
Spirit Energy secured a high-profile solar installation at Cobham Services, a location seeing over 1.25 million visitors during the 6-week project window. The goal was to transform standard construction scaffolding into a premium lead-generation asset that targeted financially savvy homeowners and business travelers moving between Heathrow and Gatwick.
The Strategy: Design for the "Human Eye"
Visual Hierarchy: Using the "Stocks and Bonds" messaging, I targeted high-net-worth individuals by positioning solar as a sophisticated financial asset rather than just a utility.
Legibility at Scale: I referenced human sight studies to determine optimal font scaling and color contrast, ensuring the message was readable for pedestrians moving from the car park to the station entrance.
Material Science: Selected a specific mesh-vinyl hybrid that provided enough rigidity to prevent folding (maintaining brand premiumness) while meeting strict scaffolding safety standards for wind-load and permeability.
Execution: From Photoshop to 3:00 AM Installation
To minimize disruption at the 24/7 service station, I managed the end-to-end procurement and oversaw the installation during a night-shift window.

The Results: 1.25 Million Impressions
By treating infrastructure as a marketing canvas, we captured the attention of a massive, relevant audience without the recurring costs of traditional billboard advertising.
Targeting: Captured the attention of high-net-worth commuters traveling between Heathrow and Gatwick.
The "Financial" Hook: By positioning solar against "Stocks and Bonds," we shifted the conversation from a home improvement project to a strategic capital investment.
Brand Authority: Successfully transformed a messy construction site into a premium brand touchpoint, maintaining a "market leader" image during a high-visibility installation.
